Meta Restrictions for posting in Groups
Facebook group posting
Following a recent announcement made by Meta, the API for Facebook Groups will be deprecated (made obsolete) and wonโt be available for all third-party social media management applications.
As a result, Facebook Groups functionality will not be accessible in any Creasquare plans starting from April 22, 2024. This means you will no longer be able to manage your Facebook Groups through Creasquare, including actions such as publishing and scheduling posts. Additionally, you will not be able to view post details, scheduled posts, or posts awaiting approval under the Posts tab.
Any posts scheduled to go live after April 22, 2024, will not be published. If you have scheduled a post for multiple networks, including Facebook Groups, the post will go live on the other networks, and Facebook Groups will be removed from the schedule. If a post is scheduled exclusively for Facebook Groups, the channel will be removed, and the post will automatically be transferred to Drafts without any loss of data. You can then proceed to publish the post directly from the Meta platform.
We understand that this change may disrupt your existing social content plan. Please rest assured that we are actively exploring options to reintroduce support for Facebook Groups via API on Creasquare. We will keep you informed of any developments in this regard.
Our team is committed to making social media management easier for you, and we look forward to sharing more exciting updates on Creasquare soon.
